SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update - Proposal to Retire Permian Basin Remedial Action Scheme
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  June 6, 2018
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has completed its review of the Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) proposal to retire the Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) at Permian Basin Switching Station (PBSES). The PBSES RAS is designed to monitor and relieve thermal violations on the Permian Basin - Ward Gulf Tap - Wink 138 kV line (6545_A). Oncor has indicated that there have been changes to the transmission system in the area, including the instillation of new stations Aroya, Wolf Switch, and Yucca Drive and the lines exiting PBSES have been reconfigured and connected to new stations.
ERCOT is approving the proposal to retire the PBSES RAS.
The PBSES RAS is scheduled to be retired on June 6, 2018.
