SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Initial determination of RMR status for AES Deepwater Inc., Applied Energy Unit 1
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  February 18, 2011
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT received a Notification of Suspension of Operations (NSO) for AES Deepwater Inc. - APD_APD_G1 on January 26, 2011.
ERCOT has completed its preliminary review and is issuing its initial determination that this Resource may be needed for Reliability Must Run (RMR) Service. ERCOT will issue its final determination by March 27, 2011.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT will post its initial determination on the Market Information System (MIS) Secure Area on the Grid/Generation page under Reliability Must Run at https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Generation. An ERCOT digital certificate is required to access the MIS.
