SHORT DESCRIPTION:  NIDR 867_03 transactions receiving error codes 26
and 27 were reported in the IDR 867_03 Activity Report instead of the
NIDR 867_03 Activity Report.

DAY AFFECTED:  December 14, 2008 through December 30, 2008

 

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The Non-Interval Data Recorder (NIDR) 867_03
transactions receiving error codes 26 and 27 were reported in the
Interval Data Recorder (IDR) 867_03 Activity Report instead of the NIDR
867_03 Activity Report.  Additional details about the error codes can be
found on the ercot.com website at
http://www.ercot.com/services/userguides/ under Retail and 867_03 Error
Codes Table.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  The root cause of this issue was related to the
implementation of the 80028 Distributed Generation project. A variable
for these codes specific to NIDR transactions was no longer being
populated to include the codes in the NIDR 867_03 Activity Report. The
null value for the variable caused the NIDR errors to be included in the
IDR 867_03 Activity Report.

 

A code fix was implemented on December 30, 2008. As of today, December
31, 2008, the reporting is back to normal and the error codes are in the
appropriate reports.

 

ERCOT will continue to work to compile the error codes 26 and 27
occurring from December 14, 2008 to December 30, 2008 and report them
back to TDSPs in a consolidated report. An updated notice will be sent
when the supplemental reports are available.
