NOTICE TYPE:  M-A030912-02 Outage - Retail/Wholesale
SHORT DESCRIPTION:  RESCHEDULED - Planned system maintenance with impacted services
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  March 14, 2012, 16:00 - 21:00 CDT
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will be performing planned system maintenance of several source databases and applications on March 14, 2012, within a maintenance window of 16:00 - 21:00 CDT. During this system maintenance, market submissions will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes and real-time communications will be unavailable for approximately 5 minutes. All systems should re-establish communications automatically.
This maintenance was originally planned to occur on March 13, 2012. The date of the maintenance has been pushed back one day, but the time window remains the same.
During the maintenance period, Market Participants may experience intermittent issues with the following services:
*         Market submissions and requests via WebServices, Market Manager and Outage Scheduler
*         Report publishing to the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS)
*         Downloading of extracts and reports from MIS and WebServices.
During the outage, please use the following URLs to directly access the Market Manager and Outage Scheduler:

*         https://mis.ercot.com/mmsui/mmsui/displayTradesLanding.action

*         https://mis.ercot.com/osrui/osrui/Summary.action.
Note that the outage is scheduled to begin at approximately 16:00 CDT; however, this start time may be delayed depending on the current system conditions. A Hotline call will be made to Market Participants to announce the start of the outage, and another Hotline call will be made at the completion of the outage.
ACTION REQUIRED:  QSEs with Resources will need to follow Emergency Basepoints during the outage. QSEs and TSPs will need to refrain from making submissions in MMS and OS during the outage period as the submissions will not be accepted.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Note that the Current Day Reports (CDR) system will be impacted. Reports will be rerun and reposted as applicable. The MIS Dashboards and ERCOT.com price displays will not be populated with data during this timeframe.
