SHORT DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT Texas Market Link decommission efforts
DAY AFFECTED:  October 24, 2011

LONG DESCRIPTION:  In support of the ERCOT Texas Market Link (TML) decommission efforts, ERCOT is implementing several system changes in the October on-cycle release. These changes will not impact the functionality of the Market Information System (MIS), TML or the Commercial API. The users will however experience a color change to the screen background of the Find ESIID, Find Transaction, Market Data Transparency and Retail Transaction (e.g. Create Enrollment, Create Move-In, Create Move-Out, Establish CSA, Delete CSA) functions on both TML and the MIS.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  ERCOT will be decommissioning the TML user interface and the Commercial API report functionality with the December 2011 on-cycle release. After the December release, the Commercial API will only be available for Find ESIID and Find Transaction functionality.

Market participants looking to use a machine-to-machine functionality to download extracts and reports from ERCOT should refer to the Get Reports section of the EIP - External Interfaces Specification, located under the Public Data section at for detailed information.

Users of MIS and the ERCOT website will not be impacted by any of the TML decommission changes. The MIS currently provides, and will continue to contain, all Nodal, non-retiring Zonal and Retail extracts and reports. Detailed extract and report information is available in the ERCOT Market Information List (EMIL) found in the Services section of both the ERCOT website and MIS.
