NOTICE DATE: March 13, 2012
NOTICE TYPE: W-A031312-01 Extracts - Wholesale
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Delayed posting - 48 Hour DAM and SCED Energy Curves Reports
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAYS AFFECTED: March 10 and 13, 2012
LONG DESCRIPTION: The 48 Hour DAM and SCED Energy Curves Reports (NP3-908-ER) bundle did not post on March 10, 2012, due to the market submissions issue described in Notice W-B030812-01 (below). During ERCOT's investigation of the disclosure reports, it was identified that five reports in that bundle had been impacted; Aggregate Energy Supply Curves and its four associated disclosure area reports. The 48 Hour DAM and SCED Energy Curves Reports bundle was held back to allow time for ERCOT to make the necessary program code modifications to handle the market submissions situation, regenerate, validate and then post the reports.
The 48 Hour DAM and SCED Energy Curves Reports that were initially scheduled to post on March 10, 2012, for Operating Day March 8, 2012, will be posted on March 13, 2012.

NOTICE DATE: March 8, 2012
NOTICE TYPE: W-B030812-01 Operations
SHORT DESCRIPTION: QSE submissions inadvertently cancelled
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Qualified Scheduling Entities
DAY AFFECTED: Operating Day March 8, 2012
LONG DESCRIPTION: At 07:16 CPT on March 8, 2012 ERCOT inadvertently cancelled a subset of Qualified Scheduling Entity (QSE) transactions for Operating Day March 8, 2012. Energy-Offer Curves (EOCs) and some Output Schedules were cancelled and unavailable to Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) from approximately 08:00 to 08:28 CPT and as a result Emergency Base Points were issued for a period of time thereafter. The cancelled EOCs and Output Schedules were subsequently restored and available to SCED. Prices during this timeframe are under further investigation for price correction consideration and will be posted by the 1600 deadline for final prices March 9, 2012 on ERCOT.com (http://www.ercot.com/mktinfo/prices/).
Day-Ahead Market (DAM) only submissions (Point to Point Obligation Bids, Energy Only Offers, Energy Bids, CRR Offers) for the DAM executed on March 7 for Operating Day March 8 were cancelled and will not be restored in Market Manager since the DAM was already completed on the day prior. DAM data that was cancelled is currently in the Settlement and Billing system and will be provided in the shadow settlement extracts.
ERCOT is investigating the impacts to data in the disclosure reports. ERCOT is currently analyzing the impacted transactions and available information and will follow up with additional information if necessary. Data for the DAM executed on March 8 for Operating Day March 9 were not impacted.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Prices were noticed as under investigation in the Market Information System (MIS) Notices area (https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Notices/Notices). Emergency Base Point intervals will be settled per Protocol Section 6.6.9, Emergency Operations Settlement
