SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Benbrook Autotransformers SPS Proposal
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  Proposed start in May 2009

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The ERCOT ISO has received a proposal from Oncor Electric Delivery for two new Special Protection Schemes (SPS) on the 345/138 kV Autotransformers at the Benbrook Switching Station.  The SPSs are series reactor insertions into the 138 kV sides of the Autotransformers.
The ERCOT ISO is initiating a review of these Type-2 SPSs at this time.  Information regarding SPSs can be viewed on the ERCOT Planning and Operations Information website:
