NOTICE DATE: October 19, 2021

NOTICE TYPE: W-B101821-02 Retail

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Correction: Posting of information to the MIS Certified Area for Load Serving Entities (LSEs) regarding transmission voltage-level customers for purposes of opting out of Uplift Charges contemplated under PURA § 39.653(d)

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Retail Electric Providers (REPs)

DAYS AFFECTED: October 19, 2021

LONG DESCRIPTION: In Market Notice W-B101821-01, ERCOT advised that on October 19, 2021, it would be “posting to the MIS Certified Area of each applicable LSE the Electric Service Identifier (ESI ID) information for each of the transmission voltage-level customers served by the LSE as of October 15, 2021.”

This Market Notice is being issued to clarify that the information to be posted to each applicable LSE’s MIS Certified Area on October 19, 2021, is information (i.e., ESI IDs and meter data) for the transmission voltage-level customers served by the LSE for the “period of emergency” (i.e., February 12 to 20, 2021). If a transmission voltage-level customer was transferred to a different LSE after February 20, 2021, the new LSE will not have access to that customer’s meter data for the period of emergency.

Furthermore, please note that the files to be posted on October 19, 2021, will not identify transmission voltage-level customer ESI IDs that were acquired after the period of emergency. For LSEs that have acquired transmission voltage-level customers since February 20, 2021, ERCOT will separately provide identification of those ESI IDs.
