LONG DESCRIPTION:  On February 21, 2012, the ERCOT Board approved Planning Guide Revision Request (PGRR) 008, New Planning Guide Section 5 - Generation Resource Interconnection or Change Request (formerly "New Planning Guide Section 4 - Generation Resource Interconnection").
The implementation of grey boxes associated with PGRR009, New Planning Guide Section 6.8, Resource Registration Procedures, and Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 375, Extend the Reporting Horizon for CDR Inputs, were contingent upon the implementation of PGRR008.
PGRR008, PGRR009 and NPRR375 will be implemented on March 1, 2012.

SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details of PGRR008, PGRR009 and NPRR375
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On February 21, 2012, the ERCOT Board will consider Planning Guide Revision Request (PGRR) 008, New Planning Guide Section 5 - Generation Resource Interconnection or Change Request (formerly "New Planning Guide Section 4 - Generation Resource Interconnection"). If approved, PGRR008 will be effective on March 1, 2012. PGRR008 adds a new Section 5 to the Planning Guide, mostly using language from the existing ERCOT Generation Interconnection or Change Request Procedure, to address responsibilities and requirements related to interconnection studies for new Generation Resources. These responsibilities and requirements are directly related to transmission planning.
PGRR009, New Planning Guide Section 6.8, Resource Registration Procedures, and Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 375, Extend the Reporting Horizon for CDR Inputs, are associated with PGRR008 and will be implemented on March 1, 2012, pending ERCOT Board approval of PGRR008.
PGRR009, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on December 12, 2011, adds Section 6.8 to the Planning Guide to establish basic processes to be used by Resource Entities to supply Resource information to ERCOT through the Resource registration process.
NPRR375, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on September 20, 2011, extends the existing reporting requirements for Mothballed Generation Resource return-to-service probabilities, Private Use Networks and Switchable Generation Resources to ten years to align with the ten year reporting horizon required for the Capacity, Demand and Reserves (CDR) report.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  For PGRR008, pursuant to Planning Guide Section 1.6, Planning Guide Revision Implementation, ERCOT shall implement PGRRs on the first day of the month following ERCOT Board approval, unless otherwise provided in the Board Report for the approved PGRR. PGRR008 and associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website, under Market Rules, at http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/issues/pgrr/001-025/008/index.
For PGRR009, pursuant to Planning Guide Section 1.6, Planning Guide Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation. PGRR009 and associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website, under Market Rules, at http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/issues/pgrr/001-025/009/index.
For NPRR375, pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
