NOTICE TYPE:  M-A011909-01 Outage - Wholesale
SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Scheduled outage of Market Operations System (MOS)
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSE Operations Personnel
DAY AFFECTED:  January 29, 2009

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has scheduled a brief outage of the Market Operating System (MOS) to accomplish an update to the Market Database. The migration will be accomplished in one brief outage in order to minimize the impact to Balancing Intervals.

The outage will last approximately 10 - 12 minutes and will affect all MOS functions, including Schedule and Bid submissions, Deployments, MOS Public and the MOS API Listener. The exact timing of the outage will be determined on the day of the outage based on market and transmission system stability.  QSEs will be notified prior to and immediately after the outage via a Hotline call.
