SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The Outage Scheduler Enhancements project will be available for Market Participant testing between July 28, 2016 and September 12, 2016

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The PR174-01 2015 Outage Scheduler Enhancements project combines the release of Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 219 (Resolution of Alignment Items A33, A92, A106, and A150 - TSPs Must Submit Outages for Resource Owned Equipment and Clarification of Changes in Status of Transmission Element Postings) and System Change Request (SCR) 783, Outage Scheduler Enhancements -- Groups 2 and 3, Group Outage, Usability and Filtering Enhancements, into one project.
This project is scheduled to be implemented in September 2016. Prior to the implementation of the Outage Scheduler Enhancements and XML Schema Definition (XSD) changes in a production environment, ERCOT will make its Outage Scheduler system available in its Market Operations Test Environment (MOTE) for Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) and Transmission Services Providers (TSPs) to test to their ability to schedule Transmission Facility or Resource Outages via the Outage Scheduler Application Programmatic Interface (API) or User Interface.
Outage Scheduler Enhancement Project MOTE testing will be conducted during following time period:

*         API testing:  July 28, 2016 - September 12, 2016

*         User Interface Testing:  August 8, 2016 - September 12, 2016
The MOTE "Outage Scheduler Equipment List" posted on the MIS will be updated by close of business, July 22.
Each Business Day during the above testing period, all Outages submitted into the MOTE Outage Scheduler system with an Outage Status of "Received at ERCOT" (RatE) will be Approved/Accepted between 16:00 and 17:00. To have the status of an outage changed to something other than Approved or Accepted, the Market Participant must send an email to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with the preferred Outage Status along with the Outage Identifier (i.e. ERC00123456). A confirmation email will be sent after the change has been implemented.

Note that the Outage Scheduler will be unavailable in the MOTE from July 21, 2016 5:00 PM until July 28, 2016 8:00 AM to complete Outage Scheduler Enhancement Project system changes release deployment, model load process and interval verification.
ACTION REQUIRED:  QSE and TSP Outage Coordination and Real-Time management and support personnel are expected to start the MOTE Testing via External Web Services (API testing) beginning July 28, 2016 and via the Outage Scheduler User interface (UI) beginning August 8, 2016. All Outage Scheduler Enhancement Testing in MOTE will close on September 12, 2016.
