SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Heights SPS Proposal
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  Proposed May 29, 2009
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has received a proposal from Texas-New Mexico Power Co. for a new Special Protection System (SPS) at the Heights substation.  This SPS is intended to protect against post-contingency overloading on the Greenbelt - PH Robinson 138 kV line for the loss of the Heights - Freeway Park / PH Robinson 138 kV Double-Circuit.
ERCOT has completed its review of this SPS, and is approving it at this time.  Information regarding SPSs can be viewed on the ERCOT Planning and Operations Information secure website:  http://planning.ercot.com/login/login.
