SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Notice of phasor measurement recording equipment requirements for new generating Facilities
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Resource Entities with new Generation Facilities
DAY AFFECTED:  January 1, 2017
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT Operating Guide Section 6.1.3.2, Location Requirements, requires Resource Entities with new generating Facilities that have more than 20 MVA of aggregated capacity at a single site, and were placed into service after January 1, 2017 to install phasor measurement recording equipment at their Facilities. The Operating Guide further requires that the installation be completed no later than 18 months after a written notification from ERCOT to the Facility owner.
ERCOT provides this notice of the requirement to install phasor measurement recording equipment and requests that Resource Entities with new generating Facilities that have more than 20 MVA of aggregated capacity at a single site, and were placed into service after January 1, 2017 complete the required installation as soon as possible but no later than 18 months of this notice.
ADITIONAL INFORMATION: ERCOT requests that Resource Entities required to install the phasor measurement recording equipment as outlined above notify ERCOT that the required installation is completed via e-mail sent to ERCOT Client Services at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
