SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Update on DAM PTP Obligation Bid Award publishing issue yesterday

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT QSEs

DAY AFFECTED:  February 13, 2013

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT experienced an issue February 13, 2013 with publishing the PTP Obligation Bid awards for the Day-Ahead Market (DAM) for Operating Day February 14, 2013. All other transaction types published successfully prior to 1330. A workaround was implemented and PTP Obligation Bid awards were published more than an hour after the normal 1330 deadline. Notices on the Market Information System (MIS) were used to communicate with QSEs regarding the issue and resolution during this timeframe.

With the root cause identified and an emergency fix implemented this morning, ERCOT does not anticipate further issues with DAM award creation. Please note that when manually creating the PTP Obligation Bid awards, ERCOT was unable to "push" award notifications; instead, QSEs need to query the system using the Market Information web service to receive this award type for Operating Day February 14, 2013.
