SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details of NPRR669
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  June 1, 2015
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 1, 2015, ERCOT will implement Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 669, Maintaining Frequency Responsiveness from Generation Resources Providing RRS, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on February 10, 2015.
This NPRR aligns Protocol language with the 2015 Ancillary Service Methodology. On 10/23/14, TAC unanimously endorsed the 2015 Ancillary Service Methodology with the provision that the Responsive Reserve (RRS) quantities for 2015 will be based on a 20% limitation to be effective beginning on June 1, 2015.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
