SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Revision to the Barney Davis SPS

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  May 3, 2013

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has received a request to revise the Special Protection System (SPS) at the Barney Davis generation facility ("Barney Davis SPS") from American Electric Power (AEP). The Barney Davis SPS monitors flows on all lines leaving the Barney Davis facility and protects against overloads on the Airline - Davis circuit 1 (Via Pharaoh), Airline - Davis circuit 2, Airline - Davis circuit 3 (Via Wooldridge), Davis - Holly (via Rodd Field) and the Davis - Nelson Sharpe (Via Alazan) 138kV lines.

The revised proposal for this SPS is being reviewed by ERCOT. Comments on the SPS revision are due by May 3, 2013, and should be submitted to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> using the attached comment form. Any questions or concerns raised during this timeframe will be addressed by ERCOT Staff or AEP.

Information regarding SPSs can be found on the ERCOT Market Information System (MIS) under "Special Protection Systems and Remedial Action Plans" at https://mis.ercot.com/pps/tibco/mis/Pages/Grid+Information/Long+Term+Planning. A digital certificate is required to access the MIS.

ACTION REQUIRED:  Any comments to this proposal are due to ERCOT by May 3, 2013 using the attached form.
