SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation of maximum shadow price for a consistently irresolvable constraint in SCED

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  May 4, 2018

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On May 4, 2018, ERCOT is implementing a modified maximum shadow price for a constraint that was found to be consistently irresolvable per the criteria defined in Section 3.6.1 of the business practice document, "Setting the Shadow Price Caps and Power Balance Penalties in Security Constrained Economic Dispatch."  The update to the maximum shadow price will occur between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.  The contingency/constraint pair and updated maximum shadow price (set in accordance with Section 3.6.2 of that same document) are as follows:
