SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Proposal to Temporarily Modify Eskota Switch Remedial Action Scheme

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  August 8 - September 15, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT has received a proposal from Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC (Oncor) to modify the Remedial Action Scheme (RAS) at Eskota Switch (ESKSW). The ESKSW RAS is designed to monitor and relieve thermal violations on the Eskota - South Abilene 138 kV line, the 138/69 kV autotransformer 1, and the Eskota - Abilene 69 kV line.



Oncor has temporarily derated the Emergency Rating of the 138/69 kV autotransformer 1 from 86 MVA to 50 MVA, and is proposing to modify the RAS. The planned duration of this change is from August 8 - September 15, 2017.



The proposal to modify the ESKSW RAS has been reviewed and approved by ERCOT.
