NOTICE DATE:  June 13, 2008

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Temporary Change to LFC Regulation Deployment for
the LFC Tests on June 19 and the week of June 23.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: LFC Contacts and Accountable Executives

DAY AFFECTED: Beginning June 13, 2008

LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will honor the ten minute ramp rate during the
test by modifying the LFC Regulation calculation (ten instead of five
minutes ramp) and by temporarily modifying the LFC SURAMP and SDRAMP

*         SURAMP = Ramp Rate - (Regulation Up AS Responsibility / 10)

*         SDRAMP = Ramp Rate - (Regulation Down AS Responsibility / 10)

* LFC will calculate Regulation to be deployed over a 10 minute
ramp rate not a 5 minute.

ACTION REQUIRED: All QSEs should ensure that their Nodal ancillary
service responsibilities match their Zonal ancillary service obligations
during normal business hours starting on June 16, 2008 through June 27,
2008. During this time QSEs must also ensure that their Responsive
Reserve Service and Non-Spin schedules are being correctly calculated.
Lastly, QSEs must ensure that their Regulation Service participation
factors are being sent to ERCOT and properly represent the manner in
which the QSE is deploying it's Regulation dispatch signals. As a
reminder, the participation factors are a fraction between 0 and 1 and
should sum to 1 within a QSE.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This change will keep Nodal in line with Zonal
for the handling of Regulation Deployments for the testing planned the
next two weeks.
