SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Request for information in support of 2009 NERC-TRE Audit
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  TDSPs

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The Texas Regional Entity (TRE) and the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) will be conducting a reliability audit of ERCOT from October 19 through October 23, 2009. ERCOT will be audited as the Reliability Coordinator (RC), Transmission Operator (TOP), Balancing Authority (BA), Planning Authority (PA) and the Transmission Service Provider (TSP) for the ERCOT region.
ERCOT registered Transmission and Distribution Service Providers, registered with NERC as Transmission Owners (TO), possess information that may be needed for ERCOT to completely demonstrate compliance with NERC Transmission Operator (TOP) requirements. Each TO should have the information identified on the attached document readily available in an electronic format should it be requested during the audit.
Please note that ERCOT does not want the information to be sent at this time. Should the information be required to fulfill a request by the audit team, ERCOT will contact the TO and will expect each TO to submit the requested information that day; typically within hours.
To assist with expediting audit requests, each TO should designate a primary and secondary contact that will be available by phone from October 19 - 23, 2009, and be able to promptly submit the requested documentation. The TO contacts should be able to respond as a subject matter expert to any auditor questions on information provided to the auditor.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  The attached file includes a summary of the type of documentation that should be available upon request. This information is not to be sent to ERCOT unless requested by the audit team.
