NOTICE DATE: August 14, 2015
NOTICE TYPE: M-C081415-01 Operations
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Removal of the East Texas Generic Transmission Constraint
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED: August 14, 2015
LONG DESCRIPTION: As a result of recent transmission improvements in East Texas, ERCOT has analyzed the continued need for the East Texas Generic Transmission Constraint (GTC). ERCOT has determined that stability issues in the region are no longer the most limiting constraints and is removing the East Texas Stability GTC (identified in the Network Operations Model as "SOP110"), effective immediately.
Details associated with all GTCs can be found on the ERCOT MIS Secure Area in the "Generic Transmission Constraints" portlet. A Digital Certificate is required to access the MIS Secure Area.
