SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Eskota Switching Station SPS Proposal
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  Proposed in-service March 2, 2009
LONG DESCRIPTION:  Oncor Electric Delivery has submitted a proposal for a new Special Protection System (SPS) at Eskota Switching Station.  This SPS is intended to protect against post-contingency overloading on the Eskota - South Abilene 138 kV line and the Eskota 138/69 kV Autotransformer that may occur due to changing generation patterns.
ERCOT is currently initiating a review of this Type-1 SPS.  Information regarding SPSs can be viewed on the ERCOT Planning and Operations Information secure website:  http://planning.ercot.com/login/login.
