SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details of SCR764 - New version of LMP Contour Map
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  February 16, 2012
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On February 16, 2012, ERCOT deployed the final implementation of System Change Request (SCR) 764, Public Access to Select MIS Dashboards, by releasing the latest version of the Locational Marginal Price (LMP) Contour Map to ERCOT.com and the Market Information System (MIS). To access from ERCOT.com, click the "Market Information" section tab and then click on the "LMP Contour Map" link under "Day-Ahead and Real-Time Displays". From MIS, click "Applications" and then click on the "LMP Contour Map" link.
The LMP Contour Map has three data displays:

*         Real-Time LMPs

*         Real-Time SPPs

*         Day-Ahead SPPs
Each data display has two view types:

*         Standard Gradient

*         High Gradient
Standard Gradient represents 33 preset contour levels from -$250 to $3000. High Gradient represents 33 contour levels determined by the min/max values of the data.
Each view has two display modes:

*         HTML

*         KML
HTML is the default display.
Viewing KML files requires Google Earth(tm) (http://www.google.com/earth) to be installed on the user's system.
More detailed information on the LMP Contour Map can be found in the help file, which is accessible by clicking the "Help?" link located in the upper right corner of the HTML page. This information includes the downloading of the county outline files into Google Earth(tm). Users should review the help file before using the new LMP Contour Map functionality.
