SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details of NPRR589
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  June 1, 2014
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On June 1, 2014, ERCOT will partially implement Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 589, Ancillary Service Offers in the Supplemental Ancillary Services Market, which was approved by the ERCOT Board on April 8, 2014.  The following Sections will be updated:

  *   6.4.8.2, Supplemental Ancillary Services Market
  *   6.4.8.2.1, Resubmitting Offers for Ancillary Services in the Adjustment Period
  *   6.5.9.3.3, Watch
These NPRR589 sections add language to the Supplemental Ancillary Services Market (SASM) timeline to allow Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) to submit Ancillary Service Offers after notification of the need to run a SASM.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Nodal Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
There are no changes to ERCOT systems required by these NPRR589<http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/issues/nprr/576-600/589> sections and associated documents can be found on the ERCOT website.
The NPRR589 language that remains boxed will be implemented at a future date.
