SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details for NPRR365
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  December 1, 2011
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On December 1, 2011, ERCOT will partially implement Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 365, Change in Resource Outage Approvals from Eight to 45 Days (formerly "Change in Resource Outage Approvals from Eight to 90 Days"), which was approved by the ERCOT Board on September 20, 2011. This implementation will unbox the grey-boxed language in Protocol Section 3.1.6.8, Resource Outage Rejection Notice, and Section 3.1.6.9, Withdrawal of Approval or Acceptance and Rescheduling of Approved or Accepted Planned Outages of Resource Facilities.
The grey-boxed language in Sections 3.1.6.8 and 3.1.6.9 will give ERCOT the authority to reject or withdraw approval of Resource Outage requests without the need for Real-Time operations to declare an emergency. Implementation of these sections does not have any associated ERCOT staffing or system impacts.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
