SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details for NPRR416
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED:  January 1, 2013
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On January 1, 2013, ERCOT will unbox a portion of the grey-boxed language associated with Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 416, Creation of the RUC Resource Buyback Provision (formerly "Removal of the RUC Clawback Charge for Resources Other than RMR Units"), which was approved by the ERCOT Board on July 17, 2012. This implementation will unbox portions of Protocol Section 5.5.2, Reliability Unit Commitment (RUC) Process, as summarized below.

*         Paragraphs (11) and (11)(b) will be unboxed, 11(a) will remain grey-boxed

*         Paragraphs (12), (12)(a) and (12)(b) will be unboxed

*         Paragraph (13) will remain grey-boxed
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
