SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation details for NPRR425
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Resource Entities, Qualified Scheduling Entities, Transmission Service Providers
DAY AFFECTED:  December 11, 2013
LONG DESCRIPTION:  On December 11, 2013, ERCOT will implement the first phase of Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 425, Creation of a WGR Group for GREDP and Base Point Deviation Evaluation and Mixing Turbine Types Within a WGR (formerly "Creation of a WGR Group for GREDP and Base Point Deviation Evaluation"), which was approved by the ERCOT Board on November 13, 2012.
Phase 1 of NPRR425, changes to the Resource Asset Registration Form (RARF), include

*         Moving the Planning information from the Planning-Wind tab to the new turbine Details tab (which was renamed from the Unit Info - Wind Turbine)

*         Addition of the ability to aggregate different turbines into a single Wind-powered Generation Resource (WGR) subject to certain restrictions or collect multiple WGRs into a Grouping for the purposes of Generation Resource Energy Deployment Performance (GREDP), and

*         Base Point Deviation as groups of WGRs rather than individual WGRs.
The second phase of NPRR425, scheduled for early 2014, will include changes to the GREDP.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.

ERCOT will email new pre-populated Wind forms to all Wind Resources during the week of December 11-15, 2013. No Wind forms of the previous version can be processed after December 8, 2013.
