CLASSIFICATION: Public

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Texas Regional Entity is launching the Reliability
Standards Tracking Site.

INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED: April 9, 2008

LONG DESCRIPTION: Texas Regional Entity (RE) is launching the
Reliability Standards Tracking site on Wednesday, April 9, 2008.
Through this site, ERCOT Market Participants, regulatory agencies, and
others may view the status of ERCOT region-specific reliability
standards that have been accepted by the Reliability Standards Committee
(RSC) for development.

The Reliability Standards Tracking site will be made available on
ERCOT's public website, in the Reliability Standards section
(http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/compliance/tre/standards/index.html
<http://www.ercot.com/mktrules/compliance/tre/standards/index.html> )

All interested parties may submit comments during the regional
reliability standard development process by registering on the site.

An ERCOT member company that wishes to vote on regional standards may
have one voting representative; the representative must register on the
site as a first step toward joining the Registered Ballot Body (RBB).
Current RBB members will need to register on the site in order to join
standard ballot pools and cast their ballots.

Regional reliability standards must be approved by the board of
directors for ERCOT and Texas RE; the North American Electric
Reliability Corporation (NERC) board of trustees; and the Federal Energy
Regulatory Commission (FERC).

ACTION REQUIRED: All interested parties may register on the site on or
after April 9, 2008. For ongoing communications regarding regional
reliability standards, interested parties may subscribe to the
