SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT had an unplanned outage of the Enterprise
Application Integration (EAI) system.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: All Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED: April 8, 2008 from 4:50 PM to 5:35 PM
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT experienced an unplanned outage of the
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) system yesterday, Tuesday,
April 8, 2008, from 4:50 PM to 5:35 PM. The systems and processes
affected were:
* Retail transaction processing
* Texas Market Link (TML) ESI ID lookup functionality
* TML Report Explorer
* MarkeTrak API
* TML transaction services
* TML Scheduling Extracts and Data Requests
During this outage, ERCOT was not processing inbound Retail
transactions. All backlogged transactions have processed.
This outage was the result of a data storage limitation. The data store
file was compressed and processing resumed.
