SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Implementation Details for NPRR573

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAYS AFFECTED:  June 27 - 29, 2017

LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will be implementing Energy Management System (EMS) and Market Management changes for Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 573, Alignment of PRC Calculation, between June 27 and 29, 2017.

NPRR573 aligns the Protocol language with the current Physical Responsive Capability (PRC) calculation in the EMS, and modifies the PRC calculation to represent appropriate frequency-responsive Wind-powered Generation Resources (WGRs). Upon implementation, the PRC calculation will include any available headroom (curtailed capacity) from Primary Frequency Response-capable WGRs.
