SHORT DESCRIPTION:  LPGRR031, Profile Decision Tree Changes for
Distributed Renewable Generation (DRG)

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED:  January 1, 2009

LONG DESCRIPTION:  On November 17, 2008, the ERCOT Board of Directors
approved Load Profiling Guide Revision Request (LPGRR) 031, Profile
Decision Tree Changes for Distributed Renewable Generation.  The most
significant change associated with LPGRR031 is that 'IDRRG' will not be
included in the Profile Decision Tree as a valid profile segment on
January 1, 2009.  

LPGRR030 specified IDRRG as a valid profile segment, and subsequent to
its approval, the procedure for DRG ESI IDs with an IDR is to obtain a
Resource ID.  Consequently, IDRRG is no longer needed as a profile
segment.

The profile types for which load profiles will not be published or used
in settlement are: 

RESIDRRG

BUSIDRRG

Additionally, a revised Profile Decision Tree (Appendix D) has been
posted with the Load Profiling Guide, and has an effective date of
January 1, 2009.

ACTION REQUIRED:  Market Participants whose systems contain the RESIDRRG
or BUSIDRRG profile types must ensure their systems will not be
adversely affected by non-assignment of these profile types.
