SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Effective Date details of NPRR461 - Clarification



INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Market Participants



DAY AFFECTED:  February 14, 2013



LONG DESCRIPTION:  On January 15, 2013, the ERCOT Board of Directors (Board) modified the Effective Date of Nodal Protocol Revision Request (NPRR) 461, Energy Storage Settlements Consistent with PUCT Project 39917, from "upon system implementation" to "upon implementation of Release 6."  Therefore, on February 14, 2013, ERCOT will remove the grey-boxes associated with NPRR461 because Release 6 will have been implemented.

Although the language will not be in grey-box in the ERCOT protocols, ERCOT will not settle per NPRR461 until system implementation of NPRR461.  System implementation of this NPRR is scheduled for 2013 Release 4.



After system implementation of NPRR461, subsequent settlements for Operating Day February 14, 2013 and forward will be done in accordance with NPRR461.



ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:  Pursuant to Protocol Section 21.6, Nodal Protocol Revision Implementation, ERCOT is required to provide notice as soon as practicable, but no later than ten days prior to implementation.
