NOTICE DATE: March 17, 2011
NOTICE TYPE: W-A031711-01 Extracts/Reports - Wholesale
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Out of compliance reports due to an off-cycle site failover
INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants
DAY AFFECTED: March 17, 2011
LONG DESCRIPTION: Due to data center power issues experienced early this morning, ERCOT performed an off-cycle site failover which resulted in several reports and applications to be unavailable.
The attached spreadsheet provides a list of reports which are out of compliance and did not post to the Market Information System (MIS) between 07:40 and 09:00 on March 17, 2011.
Between 07:30 and 08:30, Market Participants may have experienced intermittent connectivity issues preventing access to the MIS, Outage Scheduler User Interface (OSUI) and Market Manager User Interface (MMUI) applications.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: During this time, Security Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) failed to run successfully from 07:35 until 07:55. This resulted in a subset of the 5-minute, 15-minute and hourly reports from the Market Management System (MMS) and the Energy Management System (EMS) not publishing to the MIS.

Because SCED was not run successfully during this time and therefore data was not available, most reports will not be rerun and reposted to the MIS.

The MIS Dashboards and ercot.com price displays were not populated with data during this timeframe. This also impacted the EWS Get System Parameters web service.
