NOTICE TYPE: M-A030713-01 Extracts - Wholesale/Retail

SHORT DESCRIPTION: DST Short-Day Effects in Current Day Reports

INTENDED AUDIENCE: ERCOT Market Participants

DAY AFFECTED: March 10, 2013

LONG DESCRIPTION: Daylight Savings Time begins at 02:00 on Sunday morning, March 10, 2013. Below is a short list of expectations regarding known Current Day Report (CDR) outputs.

All CDR reports that use the HourEnding convention will not have values for Hour Ending 3. This includes all of the Day-Ahead reports and all pricing reports. These reports will have values for Hours Ending 1, 2, 4 - 24.

All CDR reports that use DeliveryHour convention will not have values for Hour Ending 2. These reports will have values for Hours Ending 1, 3, 4 - 24.

The file naming conventions for all CDR reports that utilize a SCED timestamp within the free form report name area will reflect the SCED run times not the hour ending values.

The only exception to the file run time naming convention is for the Settlement Point Prices at Resource Nodes, Hubs and Load Zones (NP6-905-CD) report. This report will reflect the interval ending times of 0145, 0200 then 0315 in the filename conventions as seen in the example below.

The forecasted report values are already showing data for the DST transition time, particularly NP3-560-CD, Seven-Day Load Forecast by Forecast Zone and NP3-561-CD, Seven-Day Load Forecast by Weather Zone. Please note that the data in the forecasted reports will not have values for Hour Ending 2. These reports will have values for Hours Ending 1, 3 - 24.

Weather Assumptions (NP4-722-CD) will display output data for the non-existent 0200 hour as well as all other hours of the day as this dataset does not account for DST hours.

Additionally, the public ERCOT.com and MIS dashboards will reflect HE 01:00, 03:00, 04:00 for Today's Outlook, Load Forecast vs. Actual and the Forecasted and Actual Wind Power Production. All other dashboards and displays will reflect current system time or the same Hour Ending/Interval Ending values as their corresponding CDR reports.
