NOTICE TYPE:  R-A120810-01 Testing - Retail:  Announcement - Retail Market Qualification Testing - Flight 0211 TX Set Version 3.0A
SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The next round of Retail Market Qualification Testing (Flight 0211) is scheduled to begin on Friday, February 11, 2011.  The deadline to register for participation in Flight 0211 - Retail Market Testing is Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 1700 CPT.
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  Existing and potential new Competitive Retailers (CRs) and Transmission Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs)
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT and the Texas Test Plan Team (TTPT) would like to announce that preparations are underway for the next round of Retail Market Qualification Testing, Flight 0211. Flight 0211 will test for TX SET Version 3.0A and it is scheduled to begin on Friday, February 11, 2011.

Testing is required for new Market Participants (CRs and TDSPs) entering the Texas Retail Market, as well as for existing Market Participants entering new service territories, testing additional business functionality, changing service providers, changing banking information, or adding another entity to their business umbrella.
The deadline to register for participating in Flight 0211 - Retail Market Testing is Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 1700 CPT.
ERCOT will NOT host a mandatory orientation meeting in preparation for Flight 0211. The Texas Test Plan Team has determined that no mandatory market orientation meeting will be needed.
The Testing Worksheets (TWs) on the Retail Testing Website are currently open for registration.  Market Participants participating in Flight 0211 must create or update their existing TW prior to the Flight deadline. The TWs will now remain unlocked throughout the year. As changes to TW contacts occur, Market Participants should update their TW to include the most current contact information.
Testing for TX SET Version 3.0A is NOT required for all current CRs and TDSPs.  The upgrade to Version 3.0A is NOT a full version upgrade and it does not require Market-wide testing.
ACTION REQUIRED:  Existing CRs and TDSPs participating in Flight 0211 will need to complete the following requirements before the Flight deadline, Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 1700 CPT:
*         Notify ERCOT of intent to test via email
o   This notification must include company legal name, company DUNS, and what the entity will be testing
o   This e-mail must be sent directly from the Authorized Representative
o   Please send this e-mail to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
*         Submit an UPDATED Testing Worksheet (TW)

New CRs and TDSPs participating in Flight 0211 will need to complete the following requirements before the Flight deadline, Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 1700 CPT:
*         Go to the D&B website at: http://www.dnb.com/us/ to apply for and receive a DUNS number.
*         Notify ERCOT of intent to test via email
o   This notification must include company legal name, company DUNS number, and what the entity will be testing
o   This e-mail must be sent from the Authorized Representative designated on the LSE application.
o   Please send this e-mail to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
*         Apply for REP certification with the Public Utility Commission of Texas (www.puc.state.tx.us<http://www.puc.state.tx.us/>).
o   The potential CR must have filed for PUCT certification and received a PUCT docket number before the Flight deadline.  Please forward this docket number to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>
*         Submit  a completed LSE Application

*         Submit the $500 ERCOT LSE Application Fee with the LSE Application (per Protocol Section 9.7.4)
*         Complete and submit a new Testing Worksheet (TW)
