SHORT DESCRIPTION: REMINDER - Registration for 2012 ERCOT Black Start Training ends December 9, 2011
INTENDED AUDIENCE: TDSPs, Black Start and Next Start QSEs and Resources
DAY AFFECTED: Registration ends December 9, 2011
LONG DESCRIPTION: Reminder that registration for the 2012 ERCOT Black Start Training ends on December 9, 2011. Note that anyone registering after December 9, 2011, will be charged the late registration fee of $175 per person.
Further details about the training are provided in Notice M-A100511-01 below.
ACTION REQUIRED: All Market Participants that plan to attend must complete the attached registration form. A separate form must be submitted for each individual attending the Black Start Training.
Please send completed registration forms and payments, marked 'ATTENTION: STACY WOZNY', to the address listed on the form no later than December 9, 2011.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Each person registering for the Black Start Training MUST reserve a seat in the ERCOT LMS under the session for which they have registered.

SHORT DESCRIPTION: 2012 ERCOT Black Start Training
INTENDED AUDIENCE: TDSPs, Black Start and Next Start QSEs and Resources
DAYS AFFECTED: Registration available November 7 - December 9, 2011
LONG DESCRIPTION: ERCOT will host the 2012 ERCOT Black Start Training in Taylor, TX beginning February 7 - 9, 2012.
There will be 6 training sessions scheduled, and each session will be held over three days with a half day the first day, a full day the second and a half day on the third. The first day will start at 12:00 and end at 17:00, covering Black Start theory and the responsibilities of each entity involved in the restoration process. The second day will start at 07:00 and last until 17:00, and the third day will begin at 07:00 and end at 14:00. These two days will focus on simulating the restoration of the ERCOT System.
There is also a dry run rehearsal session scheduled for January 10 - 12, 2012, to be attended by trainers, managers and designated required representatives exclusively. Attendees of the rehearsal session are required to register in advance by completing the registration form.
For completion of the three day training session, 21 NERC approved Continuing Education Hours (CEHs) will be awarded. Seventeen (17) of the CEHs will count towards the ERCOT Simulation requirement.
ACTION REQUIRED: All Market Participants that plan to attend must complete the attached registration form and return to Stacy Wozny [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> no later than December 9, 2011.
Registration for classes will begin on November 7, 2011.
