SHORT DESCRIPTION:  The location of the ERCOT Retail 101: Understanding
the Tools of the Texas Retail Electric Market has changed. It will no
longer be held at ERCOT - MET Center due to a scheduling conflict. 

 

INTENDED AUDIENCE:  ERCOT Retail Market

 

LONG DESCRIPTION:  The location of the ERCOT Retail 101: Understanding
the Tools of the Texas Retail Electric Market has changed. It will no
longer be held at ERCOT - MET Center due to a scheduling conflict.  The
ERCOT Retail 101: Understanding the Tools of the Texas Retail Electric
Market training will be held at the Marriott- Austin Airport South-
Conference Room Gallery C. 

 

For overnight guests, ERCOT has negotiated a rate of $139/night with the

Target Audience:  This course is intended for representatives of new
ERCOT Retail Market Participants, those looking to enter the Texas
Retail Market, or new employees of existing Market Participant
organizations wanting a general knowledge of Retail Market Tools.  (This
course is a high level overview and will not include the level of detail
desired by some current Market Participants needing extensive review of
the ERCOT Retail Market rules and processes.) The course is open to the
public as well, subject to space availability (see below).   

 

Deadline to register for ERCOT Retail 101 is Monday, May 5, 2008.

Training room capacity for this seminar is 50 people.  Registrations
will be taken on a first come, first serve basis so please keep this in
mind when registering.  Due to limited space and materials, we cannot
guarantee access to the session without prior registration.

 

Confirmation is subject to ERCOT receiving the required registration
through ERCOT's Learning Management System (LMS).  If registration is
not received, attendees may not be assured of participation in this
training.  If sufficient interest is shown, additional seminars may be
scheduled.

 

Note:  ERCOT reserves the right to reschedule the class for a future
date if there is not sufficient interest in the course offering.

issues - 

Members of the Inadvertent Gain Task Force have developed a high-level
course on Resolving Inadvertent Gain Issues. This course will be given
as a half day workshop on May 16, 2008

 

In addition, on May 16, 2008 Retail Client Services is offering a half
day workshop that will provide a detailed demonstration of MarkeTrak.
The MarkeTrak Workshop is intended for current Market Participants whose
day to day responsibilities include the use of MarkeTrak.  

 

Attendees need to have a basic knowledge of MarkeTrak and have been
issued a digital certificate.  To register, please use the link on the
Training page at, http://www.ercot.com/services/training/index.html.
Please note that there is a separate registration for each of these
workshops.

 

The location has not changed for the Resolving Inadvertent Gain Issues
and MarkeTrak Workshops on Friday, May 16th. These workshops will be
held at ERCOT - MET Center in Room 206A.

*	Market Participant Working Groups and Their Processes
*	Systems and Transactions

current roles as well as how ERCOT communicates in the Market.  We will
also cover the Working Group committee structure (with emphasis on
Retail committees) as well as an overview of Texas SET transactions.
Attendees will also receive a basic introduction to the tools available
in the Texas Retail Market, which include MarkeTrak, Reports and
Extracts, and the Texas Market Link (TML).
