SHORT DESCRIPTION:  2010 ERCOT Black Start Training
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  TDSPs, Black Start and Next Start QSEs and Resources
DAY AFFECTED:  Training beginning on April 5, 2010
LONG DESCRIPTION:  ERCOT will host the 2010 ERCOT Black Start Training in Taylor, TX beginning April 5, 2010.
There will be 12 training sessions scheduled and each session will be one and a half days, held at the ERCOT facility in Taylor, TX. The first day will start at 12:00 PM and end at 5:00 PM covering Black Start theory and the responsibilities of each entity involved in the restoration process. The second day will start at 7:00 AM and last until 5:00 PM and will focus on simulating the restoration of the ERCOT System. For completion of the day and a half training session, 15 Continuing Education Hours (CEH) will be awarded.
There is also a dry run scheduled for March 15 and 16, 2010.
ACTION REQUIRED:  All Market Participants that plan to attend are requested to fill out the attached survey sheet and return to Kelly Blackmer [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> no later than September 4, 2009.
This survey is necessary in order to plan resources for the number of classes required. Registration for classes will begin on November 16, 2009.
