SHORT DESCRIPTION:  Texas Regional Entity is hosting a workshop on regional standards and compliance requirements for reliability of the bulk electric system.
INTENDED AUDIENCE:  QSEs, Resource Entities, TDSPs, ERCOT ISO and PUCT
DAY AFFECTED:  May 26, 2010
LONG DESCRIPTION:  Texas Regional Entity (Texas RE) is hosting a workshop to allow market participants to learn more about compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) standards and Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) regional requirements for reliability of the bulk electric system. This workshop will be held at ERCOT's MET Center, in Austin, Texas, on May 26, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Texas RE, Pam Whittington from the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), Mike Moon from NERC, Steve Myers from ERCOT and a member of FERC will cover compliance program material, and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Information from this workshop will be valuable for Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs); Resource Entities; Transmission Operators (TOs); Transmission and Distribution Service Providers (TDSPs); ERCOT independent system operator staff; and PUCT staff.

Registration is free, and lunch will be provided. Please register using the link provided below.

In our efforts to go green Texas RE will no longer be providing workbooks the day of the workshop. The presentations will be available on the Texas RE Web site on May 17, 2010.

The workshop will be available via Web-Ex as well and preregistration is not required.
