*******TEXAS NODAL MARKET NOTICE*******
NOTICE DATE: June 10, 2010
NOTICE TYPE: Education/Training
SHORT DESCRIPTION: ERCOT to publish Outage Scheduler web-based training module and offer introductory training sessions
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Nodal Accountable Executives, Nodal Transition Project Managers, Market Trial Contacts
DAYS AFFECTED: See table below
LONG DESCRIPTION: A new Outage Scheduler application is being implemented as part of the package of applications for the Nodal Market. The Outage Scheduler is the primary tool for managing transmission and Resource outages as well as providing outage information to market participants. Transmission Service Providers (TSPs) and Qualified Scheduling Entities (QSEs) will use the new Outage Scheduler user interface to submit outages and coordinate outage related activities with ERCOT. ERCOT has developed a user guide along with a web-based user interface training module to introduce the user interface and provide ongoing reference material for end users of the application. The introductory sessions are targeted at personnel from TSPs, QSEs and Resource Entities and are intended to:
* Review ERCOT market rules related to outage coordination
* Describe roles and responsibilities for ERCOT and market participants
* Introduce the use and design of the Outage Scheduler
* Demonstrate the basic functions of the Outage Scheduler
* Describe the interfaces between the outage scheduler and other Nodal Market applications.
TSPs and QSEs are encouraged to send personnel that will either submit or maintain outage information on the Outage Scheduler as well as those that may need to generate reports on outages.
