SHORT DESCRIPTION: Extreme Weather - CenterPoint Energy Suspension of Disconnect for Non-Pay Orders.
INTENDED AUDIENCE: Retail Electric Providers
LONG DESCRIPTION: In anticipation of an extended period of below-freezing temperatures and possible hazardous road conditions in the CNP Service Area, CenterPoint Energy will not be executing disconnect for non-pay orders on Tuesday January 16, 2024. CNP will evaluate the weather forecast on Tuesday for possible extension of the DNP moratorium into Wednesday January 17, 2024. Any DNP orders scheduled for these dates will be turned down with a "Weather Moratorium" code and will need to be resubmitted with a future date.
We will be closely monitoring weather conditions and may resume DNP actions sooner if weather allows.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Additional information concerning this suspension of disconnect for non-pay orders will be provided via market notice as it becomes available.
